SUPPORT CAL-WOOD
3 WAYS TO SUPPORT
CAL-WOOD!

2022 PROGRAM REPORT
Due to our wonderful community of supporters, we have come out of the most challenging years in 币博286官网’s history stronger than ever. Now we are moving to take our programs to the next level, increasing diversity in our programs and deepening our engagement with children, families, and the wider community.
Over 40 years, we have provided over a quarter million Coloradans, largely Boulder County residents, with transformational outdoor mountain experiences. We believe that early connection with the environment equips youth to make everyday decisions that improve their lives and the health of our planet.
We are currently developing a strategic plan to guide our growth over the next three years, and are excited to develop new ways to expand our impact on children and families. The following pages provide an overview of 2022 program results and 2023 goals. Please let us know if you’d like any additional information or are able to come up for a visit.
We are so happy to have you as part of the 币博286官网 community!
THE IMPACT OF COVID ON CAL-WOOD
Due to the pandemic, 币博286官网 canceled all school programs, summer camps, and retreats fo 2020. Public school students will not be coming back to 币博286官网 until January 2022. We have lost 10 of 22 employees, and our revenue for 2020 was been reduced to only 30% of our 1.8 million projected budget.

THE CAL-WOOD FIRE
On October 17, 2020, the 币博286官网 Fire burned more than half of our 1,200 acre beautiful mountain top. We have 100% tree mortality in many areas, and, even where there is some survival, the land that we love is changed forever. . The restoration is going to be a 5-10 year process and will cost millions of dollars.
OUR RESILIENCE
Our resilience was proven after the huge flood in 2013, when 币博286官网 survived 7 months with little revenue. We will prove it again - but this time is different because the end point is a moving target. We aren’t going to give up
